VISION                                             
The Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to instilling cultural pride and heritage in Hispanic youth while educating the general public about this culture's contribution to the community. 

FOUNDED                                      
1975, by Mrs. Anita N. Martinez   

HISTORY                                         
Founded in 1975 by Anita Martinez, the very first Hispanic to serve on city council in the United States, it was her dream to have a dance company that celebrated the rich heritage of Mexico.  What started out as a small group of dancers in a community recreation center grew into the most prestigious Folklorico company in North Texas. 

CLASSES OFFERED                      
Ballet Folklorico, Ballet, Salsa, Merengue, and Zumba Fitness

DANCE COMPANIES                  
The Ballet Folklorico company consists of 20 professional, paid dancers.  ANMBF’s Junior Company features 15 aspiring apprentices between the ages of 13-18.  The Children’s Ensemble represents the youngest ANMBF dancers between the age of 8-12 years old.

HIGHLIGHTS                                

  • Has performed for over one million arts patrons worldwide.
  • Designated as one of the resident companies of the AT&T Performing Arts Center
