Letter from the Board Chair
This past school year saw our largest enrollment and brought home the great need for our services. The growing rate of children who drop out of high school because their English skills are limited is alarming. Mi Escuelita must move forward in its mission to teach English to children and prepare them for academic success. More than ever our community needs strong leaders and an educated, capable workforce.
The children that we serve at Mi Escuelita today will be graduating from college in seventeen years. Their talents and skills will make our community stronger. As a board member, volunteer, and donor of Mi Escuelita I take great pride in knowing that the young lives I help shape today will be our political, religious, economic, and philanthropic leaders tomorrow. I see their joy of learning fostered by our gifted teachers and I am optimistic that our future will be better with their contributions.
Mi Escuelita's exceptional staff and volunteers, unique curriculum, and dedication to maintaining a high quality of care make it a vital asset to the Dallas community. I thank all of you who give your time, your energy, and your financial support to Mi Escuelita. You have brought us to today and you are the reason we can carry our mission forward.
Best Regards,
Christina Mancuso
