Parental involvement is very high at Mi Escuelita Preschools. Unlike other schools, Mi Escuelita can boast of a parent participation rate surpassing 85 percent. Parents assist teachers in the classroom, serve as chaperones during field trips, help with maintenance at sites, and offer their time with other class projects.

Each month, Mi Escuelita holds a parent group meeting at each site where Mi Escuelita parents take part in school issues and activities. Officers are elected during the first parent meeting each September and serve for the entire school year. No dues are required to participate in the parent group.

Parent group meetings deal with a variety of topics. Mandatory meetings discuss topics such as child abuse, child support and transition into public school. Other meetings deal with school support activities like Math and Science Night, Literacy Night and other events as requested by parents throughout the year.
